Chevrolet’s Bold New Era Sends Three to the Edge of SpaceAug 06, 2007


The Chevrolet Bold New Era campaign that ran for four months came to an end today, giving away three once in a lifetime trips to three very lucky winners.

The campaign which ran on the Chevrolet Bold New Era website has attracted 88 thousand viewers from across the region. Participants had to answer five product related questions with answers found on the website regarding the Chevrolet Caprice, Lumina, Epica, Captiva, and Tahoe. 1100 participants in total qualified for the draw.

Ahmed Kadhem Yahya, Saud Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al Dosari and Ghandour Haddad will be going to Moscow in an all paid expenses trip, where they will take part in a flight to the edge of space in a MiG-31 Foxhound. The flight will take them nearly 2.5 times the height of Mount Everest and over 55 times the height of New York's Empire State Building where they will be able to see the curvature of the Earth.

“This campaign has been extremely successful and we saw a high number of daring automotive enthusiasts participating in this competition,” said Khalid Samir, Marketing Manager Chevrolet Small Cars – General Motors Middle East. “Chevrolet’s Bold New Era provides a vehicle for everyone and we will continue to bring new and exciting features to our customers.”
